Many of us are searching for meaning, worried about the future, or longing to serve life more fully. Across the world, people are creating small islands of sanity. And we aim to be one of them.

This community is a space for exploring Who we are, How we got here, and What we choose to care for going forward. It is for those who long for coming together around campfire conversations, but also wants to take responsibility for the change we can create with what we have.

A core starting point for us is this: we are all part of the problem. There is no time for pointing at each other. We need to raise the conversation and meet from a place of shared responsibility, recognizing that the systems we struggle with are also shaped by our own choices, habits, and ways of being.

Even our attempts to “do better” can sometimes reinforce what is already broken, when we try to fix systems without questioning the deeper stories they are built on. We are all caught in narratives about what is, what should be, and why things are not changing.

We trust that those who gather here do so with a genuine desire to contribute. To learn, to listen, and to take part in creating something better. Change rarely happens alone. It emerges between us, in relationship, in encountering the unknown.

Our Substack is the first step. It’s where we will share reflections, questions, and perspectives, and where a shared language can take shape. Remember, this initiative is still unfolding. We are building as we go and learning through practice. But we would love for you to join us.

You are not alone

Campfire sessions

Campfire Sessions is our first shared gathering space at Lodsten, alongside the ongoing conversations we host on Substack.

A few times each year, we invite people into open, digital dialogues around the questions and transitions shaping our time. Each session is led by Erik Fernholm, who opens with a short framing to set the context. Sometimes a theme is introduced in advance; other times the conversation follows the questions participants bring with them.

Campfire Sessions is not about delivering answers. It is about thinking together, listening carefully, and making sense of what is unfolding around us.

Over time, we hope these sessions become a recurring point of connection for those who want to follow the development of Lodsten’s work and engage with others navigating similar questions. A place to stay connected to new insights, emerging patterns, and the wider conversation on human behavior and societal change.
